I have bought the dark brown leather boots, but the paint is falling off of them? What to do?

if they are just scuffed you can cover it up with restorer, but if the material is coming away from the lining just through wear i%26#039;d demand a refund, it could be that there was a faulty batch. it basically comes down to ...

How to clean mill dew from leather boots?
You need to use a specialist leather mold killer called Em Clean which will kill the spores without damaging the leather. If you do not kill the spores it will just keep coming back. Cleaning on its own will not do this.
If you leave the mildew it will eventually damage the leather.

I have learned through experience that if you get the boots wet and put your feet in them it helps to stretch the leather just enough to make them not rub on the sides and backof your feet as bad.

You can use Saddle soap and Water to clean the boots, but use a rag to wipe them DO NOT PUT LEATHER IN WATER. and clean both boots at the same time so any color change will be consistent.
Any good shoe store is going to have saddle soap and the appropriate polish for leather boots.
if there is still an Oder you can use a little lemon juice to get that out. Just dab it on and let it dry and wipe it off wit a damp cloth.
After the boots are dry get a good polish and polish them really well and they should be fine.

I do not know if they are Patent leather, buck skin or what. But rubbing the inside with a nice quality light oil like Mink Oil or Saddle soap should make the leather more softer and less prone to squeak.

Leather soled riding boots...?
I have leather soled riding boots and find them slippery. When I get on the horse my foot slips out of the stirrup. And they are slippery to walk on grass too. Is there any way of giving them better grip, without ruining the boot?

As to the stirrups, get the rubber tread inserts (comes in black or white) and fit them into a pair of stirrups that have an appropriate gap inbetween the bars at the bottom or just buy a set of stirrup irons that already have a rubber tread.

I took my boots to a shoe repair shop, and they fitted some grip onto the bottom. They are great now, and as long as you look after them, the boots should last for years. You can just have them re-soled and dont have to buy new boots as often.

Only a professional can dye leather successfully. I would take the boots to a shoe repair shop and ask. It would need to go a darker colour, and there could be colour bleed.
I would suggest getting them dyed a dark brown, then if the colour bleeds it would be an oxblood colour, which is cool anyway.

Honestly what you wear with it for a top would matter more. Take what you have and pair it with a short jean skirt and a off white sweater and it would look awesome. Match it with a black sweater and it would seem a little off. Black tights are pretty much universally accepted with any colors, try to match the boots to the rest of the outfit.

Absolutely! I have gotten mine tailored to my leg at a regular shoe repair. It cost me about $25.00, but that was about 5 years ago, before I gained 20 lbs.

When the weather is cold and I need to wear boots with fur or thick in-layers, I wouldn%26#039;t care whether they drive men wild or not, so far they have to keep me warm in outdoor.
I%26#039;m 5 feet 9, I do have a few pairs of 3 inches high heels sexy boots, very good looking and elegant which I would only wear them when I need to go to formal dinning or dating with extra tall guys or go out with my tall cousins (and making sure I would drive or not much walking in that few hours). Of course I can walk on high heels, I mean, I walk properly as I walk on flat heel shoes, but it is painful when I need to walk on it for more than 3 hours.
I do have a few pairs of very comfortable 2 inches heels that I can run with them and those are my ideal shoes for attending meetings or long presentations to clients.

Can you add a zipper to a leather boot? i have tall, pull-on boots and would like them to zip up.?
For this kind of procedure I would recommend taking your boots to a cobbler/ shoe repair place. This involves cutting the leather down the side to make a place for the zipper. Since it was not originally a zippered boot he%26#039;ll have to add some material to make sure it will fit back together. It can be done, but it will be a llittle pricey to do it right.

I dont think you can. When a cat pee%26#039;s...it seeps into everything and you can never get the smell out. My cat peed in my house before and we couldnt get rid of the smell so we had to get new carpet and rip all the old stuff up. I hope they werent that expensive!! ♥

Spray them with some Lysol disinfectant spray. Be sure not to over wet them or it might stain them. Put them outside in the sun to air out.:)
