How do I clean black leather boots that have white stitching without making the white stitching black?
Murphy%26#039;s Oil soap is great for cleaing leather...there are instruction on the back of the bottle for cleaning leather as well, so don%26#039;t worry about ruining your boots, it%26#039;s totally safe....I use it to clean leather clothes and furniture with great results and no discolouration.
Reply:Put a thin strip of scotch tape to cover the white stitching and then polish away!
Reply:use a rag with half water half white vinegar solution.
Reply:dont use the instant shoe shine. just use a dry cloth and buff.
Reply:Use 1 of those instant shine polishers they dont much up the stitching
Reply:vaseline
Reply:You can buy all purpose leather cleaner which will not affect your white stitching. Try John Lewis or a shoe mender.
Reply:Do it with the inside of a banana skin... They polish the boots nicely and as there is no black dye it it, it won%26#039;t dye the stitching!
Reply:Be careful
Reply:use the shoe shine tissue papers or neutral polish.
Reply:baby wipes perfect for this and polishing any thing else save a fortune on polish for shoes, furniture, etc
Reply:the best thing to do is to have a shoe cleaner clean it,
Reply:WISH I COULD HELP
Reply:You used to be able to get clear dubbin for leather, it protects and polishes but without staining.

I like the tip about varnishing the stitching!
Reply:wax furniture polish
Reply:use clear nail varnish over the white stitching and polish away like mad
Reply:Is the white stitching important? I%26#039;\d do em all black, well if I was a girl I would- like you just want to lok sexy don%26#039;t you. Heck, even as a boy,, I don%26#039;t care aobut no stitches, I just want to look nice- and black leather *does* that.
Reply:Rots-uh-ruck
Reply:Put vaseline on the white stitching 1st, when you%26#039;ve polished simply wipe off.
